The Library

The Library contains all the learning content of the website.

We have created four vocabularies (categories) that we use to define each article - "Knowledge Level", "Pain Type", "Care Type" and finally "Policies, Processes and People". We add terms from one or more of each of these vocabularies to each article and then they are browseable in the Index of articles above.

We have also created a single Bibliography that is used against all uploaded articles. You can browse the Bibliography above and you will see references to it in the articles. It is both possible to download the bibliography into your favourite referencing tool and link through to the referenced articles themselves in PubMed and Google Scholar.

Search allows both simple keyword searches and more complex searches. If multiple results are shown from your search, then you may refine it further using the vocabularies and content types shown on the right of the page.

More complex searches use a particular syntax that is described in the Lucene Syntax article on the website for the search engine software.

Only got a few minutes? Have a look at the Few Minutes... page where you can find articles that are quick to digest.

Also, note all the other pain-related websites that we have found that might be of interest.
